Little Cup 2025

After opening up entries to adjacent counties, this years Little Cup attracted 14 teams,  a small increase over 2024 thanks to 3 entries  from Durham. Each team consisted of 4 players and each had six games – three playing as a Single/Triple and three playing as 2 Pairs. An undefeated team could therefore score 24 points but in fact none achieved this.

By the end of the day, Janet Clark’s North Duffield team of Jill Hall, Steve Finch and Andy Eccles, with 17 points just pipped the Thornton Le Dale team of Shirley & Tom Wakefield, Pat Lawrie and John Dawson who ended with 16. Prize money of £100 was given to the winners with £50 to the runners up.

As is usual at all County Competitions, a raffle had been organized by Pat Jones and this raised £100 to help pay for the day. The Cups status as a charity event was discontinued this year.
