Tornados & Tigers (fixture 4)

6.11.22
In their 4th match, the Tornados were up against last year’s league champions from Staffordshire. Tough games were expected, and tough games were had especially in the Singles who were unexpectedly completely blown away by 91 shots to 29.  Apart from that it was a very even contest and although the Fours only managed a single point their shot difference was only -5 showing how close their games had been. The Pairs and Triples fared much better picking up 16 of the 17 points gained in the match. Another 2 shots in the Pairs and another 2 in the Fours would have gained the team 3 more points to level the match. As we are constantly being told, every single shot counts! Final score – 17-23 (148-201).

The Tigers meanwhile, took a trip to Stockport where they were probably hoping to repeat last year’s 24-16 win. However, with only 5 of the 16 games won, it was not to be, and the team travelled home after a 10-30 defeat (147-201).
