Well that’s wrapped it up for the Tigers & Tornados who faced up to each other for this, their last match of this season.

It was a close fought affair, but the Tornado’s Singles and Triples had the upper hand winning their mats 6-2 whilst the Pairs and Fours shared the honors at 4-4. However the Tornados also did enough to secure the bonus points in all four disciplines adding another 8 points to their tally and giving them their fifth victory of the year by 28-12 (187-160). This left them 3 points behind West Yorkshire A to finish in 4th place in Division 1. For the Tigers, it is now a question of “wait and see”. How many points were Humberside A able to snatch in their final match today against Staffs over at Stoke and how many points will the Tigers be awarded for their abandoned match against Staffs last month? They may yet escape relegation.
