Terriers (fixture 4) & Tornados (fixture 3)

Both fixtures at home today, the Terriers playing Derbyshire and Tornados against Stockport A. Both teams knew that in the equivalent fixture last year they had come out on top (Terriers 26-14 & Tornados 29-11) but could they repeat that success?

With 10 points from their Pairs and 6 from their Fours there were hopes for a good win for the Terriers. However, the Singles and Triples could only muster another 5 points between them so the final result of 21-19 (174-176) could be considered a little disappointing although it nevertheless goes down as their third win of the season.

At the other end of the hall, the Tornados ended with an almost identical result. Their Singles and Fours led the way and notched up 15 points but the Pairs and Triples could only add a further 4 between them. The final score line of 19-21 (173-176) therefore goes down as their first defeat of the year and but just like the Terriers this was overall a very evenly balanced match.
