SCARBOROUGH SMBC “LAST DITCH” PAIRS

After each of the twelve pairs had played four games each, we had two teams tying for 1st place – Betty & Ian Ding and Pat Lawry & Jim Dawson. 1st and 2nd places were decided by an exciting tie break played between Betty and Pat, one player from each pair, one wood each, the wood nearest the jack won.
The results were Betty & Ian Ding taking the cup, with Pat Lawry & Jim Dawson in the runners-up position. Jeanne Hirst & Peter Richardson finished in third place.
In joint 11th place were Annette & Martyn Robinson and David Wicks & Derek Gibson, each of those teams won a Pair of Pairs.
