C team (fixture 5) and B team (fixture 4)

Saturday December 4th
This C team home match versus West Yorkshire B, gave “Rodders” team their 5th straight win of the season. With only 2 mats lost and 1 drawn, the final result was 35-5 (240-108). This game was also the 100th appearance by Jill Newsome who has been a regular in the side since 2008. Jill is the 15th player to achieve this honour and to commemorate her achievement captain Rod presented her with a suitably engraved trophy.

Meanwhile, the B team had travelled to Stockport with a reduced team of 17 due to player unavailability. This was the first appearance this season of ex England U21 player Matthew Jackson who won both of his games in the Singles.  However the rest of the team found the going very tough and in spite of a win in the Pairs and another in the Triples, the final outcome was a decisive 8-32 defeat (131-269).
