B team (fixture 8)

In their 8th game of the year, the ‘B’ team consolidated their position at the top of Division 2 with a 30-10 (+94 shots) win over 2nd placed Durham who are now 23 points behind. All disciplines secured their bonus points with a total of 7 in the Singles, 7 in the Pairs and 6 in the Triples. The Fours once again recorded a full house of 10.

The match was particularly notable as it marked the first appearance in our county team for the 3 North Bay juniors who under the guidance of England’s Lee Toleman (also his first game of the year) played together as a Four, clocking up the biggest win of the day with a 26-1 win in one of their games.

We hope to see more of this keen and talented trio in the future.

Two Away games remain, including a return trip to Durham for the final fixture. With the North Yorkshire ‘A’ team having two Home games to play (and only 41 points behind) it looks like a close and exciting finish to the season lies ahead.
