A team (fixture 4), B team (fixture 5) and C team (fixture 6)

Sunday December 5th saw all 3 teams in action.

The A team travelled to North Cave to play Humberside B in what was a very tight contest with the teams only separated by 3 shots at the close. 3 games were drawn and several won/lost by small margins. Although the Singles only managed 2 points, the other disciplines did enough to secure their bonus points (aggregates) leading to the teams third win of the season by 25-15 (171-168).
The B team hosted Staffordshire, the 2019-20 league champions and it was no surprise that this was a very tough match. The Fours were unable to make any impression at all losing all their games whilst a win and a draw were the only rewards for the Singles and Pairs. However the Triples had a worthy day and ended up sharing their games and also the aggregate. The final tally however was a 8-32 defeat (136-228).
The C team, playing in the quieter end of the hall (!) recorded their best result of the season, defeating Stockport B by 36-4 (248-95). At one point it seemed as if a whitewash was on the cards with Daniel (in the Singles) and Joseph’s team (in the Fours) fighting back after making a poor start in their final games. It was not to be and both these games were lost by a single shot.
