BSA Richard Lund Triples

(Report from R Good) Due to our relocation to Ryedale IBC, entries were reduced to 24 teams, utilising our 6 mats to play 4 games each. With 2 points for a win there were 8 points for any team staying undefeated.
The competition drew visitors from both the indoors bowl club and members of the public.Food was available from Oscars, whose staff worked tirelessly during the day to keep hungry bowlers and visitors fed.

With 2 sessions to play, the Triples of Pat Lawry, Andrew Leng, Rose Haynes and Anne Ridge were tied on 6pts. After the final session, the Triples of Rose Haynes, Andrew Leng and Pat Lawry were tied on 8 points.

After taking into account the shot differences the final placings were:

  1. Rose Haynes, Mathew Jackson and Paul Whitcombe. 8 Points and a Shot Difference of 68
  2. Andrew Leng, Edrene Rumley and Jim Dawson. 8 Points and a Shot Difference of 41
  3. Pat Lawrey, John eddon and John Dowson. 8 Points and a Shot Difference of 29.

A special mention goes to Bronagh Toleman and her two young players Oliver Todd and Bekir Kaya who finished in 4th place with 7 points.

Julie Lund presented the winners with the Richard Lund Memorial Trophy, and presented the runners up with their prizes.
