Tigers – Fixture 1

18/10/26

West Yorkshire 24 – Tigers 16.

The Tigers first  game this season was away to West Yorkshire B.
The journey to this venue wasn’t too bad and the team all arrived early due to another event on next door, so parking was a slight issue.
However, once we received our two raffle tickets for tea, we settled down ready for battle to commence .

The mats had been changed around since our last visit, so after our 20 minute warm up the Tigers swung into action.
At the halfway stage, we had 6pts, with the fours bringing in half those points, the singles won one mat, the pairs unfortunately lost both games, the triples managed a draw, with the fours winning one and drawing one. with the triples and fours having positive aggregates, could we have a better second half?

The singles struggled losing both games, but the pairs managed to win one game on the last end by one shot!
Meanwhile the triples won just one game, but by thirteen shots, which gave us that aggregate. The fours also won one game with a fairly healthy score, ensuring we also won that aggregate.

The final score was West Yorkshire 24, Tigers 16.

Well played by all the Tigers, I would like to thank Timothy from West Yorkshire for supplying us with biscuits and a good raffle at lunch time. Overall, an enjoyable day.

Our next adventure is away to the Terriers. Can we “roar” to success or will they ” nip” our ankles? Followed up on the following day with our first proper home game against Mack’s Durham team.

Up The Tigers!

Chris.
