Tigers (fixture 6), Tornados (fixture 5) & Terriers (fixture 3)

12.11.23  Armistice day and all 3 teams were playing after observing a respectful silence prior to the start.

The Tornados travelled to the Ladybridge venue for the second time to play their away match against Stockport B. Both Pairs were undefeated and the Triples only lost 1 game to contribute 17 points between them. Although specific players are not usually named, Steve Duffin’s two wins in the Singles – each by a single shot is worthy of a particular mention, adding a decisive 4 points to the total. The Fours had a disappointing day and could only manage a single win. The final result was a 23-17 win (202-154). The team is undefeated so far but tough matches lie ahead – can the momentum continue?

Meanwhile, both the Tigers and Terriers were playing at home

In their match against against Humberside B, the Tigers clocked up their 5th win of the season with only 4 mats lost and 2 drawn) resulting in a 30-10 (207-152) result –  the same as last year. Only 4 matches left now. Can they keep up the excellent start they have had this season?

The Terriers meanwhile were entertaining Durham. Their Triples and Fours were both undefeated and took 19 points whilst  the Singles and Pairs had 2 wins apiece but failed to clinch their bonus points but nevertheless added another 8 points giving the Terriers their first win of the season by 27-13 (178-167).
