B team (fixture 6)

16.1.22 – Against current Division 1 champions, Staffordshire, the B team knew they had a mighty task on their hands as they set off to Stoke for their away leg return match.  At home they had managed 8 points but Staffs on their home turf are another matter. Coming to the last session it looked as if they were going to suffer the same fate as Derbyshire who were whitewashed last season. However, Heather and Jez saved such an embarrassment by securing a 17-8 win in the Pairs in their last match. Phew! Nevertheless, the final damage was a bruising 2-38 defeat (116-263).
