Because of backwards 'slippage' of dates over recent years, it was agreed at the 55th Committee meeting (Sep. '07) to ask all competition organisers to move their dates forward by 1 week for 2008/09. A provisional diary was therefore issued to all competition organisers at the end of September 2007. The VOY league could not move their Pairs Day due to another booking and Easingwold SMBC were unable to re-arrange their Open Triples for the same reason. The Yorkshire (North) league Chairman requested a single date change and this was agreed to. There were no other objections received and therefore the 18 County team fixtures and other County competitions were organised around this provisional diary. Every attempt was made to minimise clashes with existing competitions but never the less some clashes still occurred. 

In April 2008, the Yorkshire (North) league finally issued their dates for the 2008/09 season. Unfortunately, only two of these agreed with the provisional diary issued in September so many more clashes resulted. At the 2008 AGM, their Chairman agreed to try to rectify the situation with his Fixture Secretary. After a meeting at the end of May a new set of dates was agreed and these were finally issued to all concerned on July 9th.

This DIARY page was finally updated on July 10th and as far as can be ascertained contains all dates agreed for all competitions.
