The overall management of the Association is based on equal representation for each member club. Thus all 46 Clubs may nominate one of their members to represent their club with voting rights at all meetings.

Day to day management rests with an Management Committee of 10 Officers who are elected at the AGM in April and serve for one year only.

The 10 Officers and 46 club representatives form a General Committee with each having a single vote. There are usually only two General Committee meetings each year in September and February with an AGM in April.

The Association is affiliated to both the National (ESMBA) and Northern England (NESMBA) Associations
